Sony WH-CH720N – Product Overview
The Sony WH-CH720N are lightweight mid-range wireless over-ear headphones from Sony Corporation designed to bring Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), long battery life, and Sony sound quality at a more affordable price than the WH-1000XM series.
They are basically a “budget-friendly Sony ANC headset” for everyday use.
Audio Performance
The WH-CH720N deliver clean and balanced sound:
- 30mm dynamic drivers
- Clear vocals with light bass emphasis
- DSEE audio upscaling (improves compressed audio)
- Custom EQ via Sony Headphones Connect app
- Good clarity for music, calls, and movies
Sound is balanced and slightly bright, less bass-heavy than XM4.
Noise Cancellation (ANC)
- Dual Noise Sensor technology (similar concept to XM series)
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
- Ambient Sound / Transparency mode
- Adaptive Sound Control (location-based adjustment)
ANC is good for the price, especially for office noise, fans, and travel, but not as strong as WH-1000XM4 or premium Bose models.
