Handheld-First Design
Unlike the original Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite is a dedicated handheld device and does not support output to a television . Every component is built into the main body, resulting in a more solid, rigid feel in the hands. The left side features a traditional +Control Pad (D-Pad) for precise directional input, replacing the four separate buttons found on the standard Joy-Con .
Play Anywhere, With Anyone
The system supports all Nintendo Switch games that can be played in Handheld Mode . Whether you’re commuting, traveling, or just relaxing on the couch, you can enjoy popular titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe . Additionally, you can connect up to 8 consoles locally for multiplayer gaming, or play online with friends via a Nintendo Switch Online membership .
Versatile Compatibility
While the system has integrated controls, it still supports wireless connection to Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) . This allows you to play games like Super Mario Party or Ring Fit Adventure that require detached Joy-Con functionality, even on the Lite. The system also supports the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for a more traditional grip .
